Winter Impressions

Winter Impressions

With the change in season, I thought my impression of winter would make for an interesting show.

The titles of my work play a big role in the mood they project. The canvas pieces are all shot with an iPhone3GS, in the style of Polaroid.

The series of 3 on canvas are a Limited Edition (3).

The framed prints are shot with a Sony DSC-H10. Serenity and simplicity are my primary goals.

Within 15 minutes of opening the door, I sold 4 framed pieces and by the days end had sold 7 calendars.

It was a great 1st day and will be dropping new (different) prints off at the printer tomorrow, so I can replace the four that sold.

Calendar updates - in time for the Holidays

Calendars available here  and here (calendars).

Delivery time is excellent – within 7 days or less.

Varyag & Irkut - Russian Military

An imposing display of Russian military was anchored at Canada Place this past week. The Russian missile cruiser Varyag and tanker Irkut

The Varyag is 187 metres long, weighs in at 11,370 tonnes and carries a crew of 515.

The Irkut is slightly smaller at 130 metres and 11,140 tonnes with a crew of 62.

Russian sailors participated in Remembrance Day events at the Pioneer Square Cenotaph and spent time socializing with members of the Canadian navy.

With over a 2 hour wait to get into the ships, I just stayed on the outside. These are all 'rough cuts" (iPhone Reproductions)

and are a nice addition to my other Russian series The Kruzenshtern, (calendar version) you may or may have not seen.
